Join Anna for a visit to the Glynn Vivian Gallery in Swansea on Thursday 15th November to see the "On Paper" exhibition.

Meet at the bus stop on Customhouse Street, Cardiff to take the X10 bus, departing at 09:35 and arriving in Swansea at 10:45am.
It's a short walk to the gallery for coffee, see the exhibition, lunch if desired and free time in the afternoon. Buses return at 15 mins past each hour until 17:15pm.

On Friday 27th July, in the morning from 10am till 12 noon, we'll be at Llandaff Cathedral, Cardiff

Inside : draw the impressive Epstein sculpture (Christ in Majesty), the Rossetti triptych, the fine arches, tombs and stained glass windows.
Or sketch outside : the architecture, the gardens and tranquil views.

Parking is good if you arrive early, by 9.30am. but can be busy later.
Meet at the main entrance doorway, coffee and chat afterwards.

Cardiff Drawing Group visit to Swansea on Sunday 15th April.

The Glynn Vivian Gallery, Swansea is hosting a major exhibition of the work of Kathe Kollwitz, one of the leading artists of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Drawings and prints - portraits and self-portraits.

Meet at the bus stop on Customhouse Street, Cardiff at 11:00am. to catch the 11:15 bus to Swansea bus station (service X10), arriving 12:25, then a 15 minute walk to the gallery.

Or, if travelling by car, meet at 12:40 in the gallery.

There are options for return buses, the last one is at 18:00pm.
Return ticket is £8 or free with a concessionary bus pass.

On Saturday 10 February we meet at the National Museum of Wales for a chat by Richard about this, and the importance of figure / life drawing in art.

The Cardiff exhibition "Bacon to Doig" closes in a few weeks, so this is a chance to study and sketch here (and the other galleries) particularly in relation to The Naked and The Nude?
